the controls are a little weird. Took me a bit to figure out you needed to hold a direction and press a to read the signs. Why not just have A be interaction since select already switches between songs?

(1 edit)

Hey there - because a lot of players suggested me to use "the other" action button to switch song! So I left Select in redundance. How controls are weird, in a top-down with the character moving in just 4 directions o.O ?
Ah! Thank you for posting here! What you wrote just gave me a tip for an easier interaction with the signs. I'm doing it right now!

Just released v0.0.29
Now the interaction with signs is better; you just need to hit the sign once and press the *put here the button you chose to be the interactive one* to read the sign in less than 1.5s
Thank you again.

Cool I’ll try it out. As for why I said it was weird, I guess I’m comparing to Zelda which seems like the closest comparison, where the A button is an action. Either using an item/attack or to read or interact with an object.

Good! Waiting for your feedback =)

definitely an improvement, although it still feels a little off since you still need to press a direction first. So if you read a sign and finish, then try and read it again by pressing interaction, it instead switches the song. Also, all interactions should be the same so now the doors are confusing because they still require holding the direction + interaction button.

On another note, any hints for the Cerberus puppy room? I pulled him into the fire but the door never locks. He also doesn’t seem to respond to the sleeping song.

Played and recorded the game. That's very interesting.

Congratulations.

Interhesive the game, although I would have preferred more schemes to better understand the game play and difficulties of the game. Say 5/10 patterns and possibly a final bos? animations and drawings are done very well. The theme of music something incredibly magical, which changes depending on the area in which it is located there. There are no ambient sounds, such as doors that open, buttons that are pressed, enemies who die etc. But I understand that this is the first demo. Congratulations on a good start.
